How to Install Classic Square Bar-End Mirrors
1. Remove the Existing Handlebar End Cap
Remove the original handlebar end cap or bar-end hardware to expose the end of the handlebar.
If the motorcycle has an internal or external bar-end weight that prevents the Classic mirror mounting system from being installed, the weight may need to be partially or completely removed depending on the handlebar setup.
2. Check the Handlebar End
Before inserting the mounting hardware, make sure there is sufficient space inside the handlebar for the supplied bar-end mounting system.
The mounting hardware should enter the handlebar without being forced. If the opening is blocked or the mounting system does not fit correctly, stop and verify the handlebar-end configuration before continuing.
3. Insert the Bar-End Mounting System
Insert the Classic mirror mounting system into the end of the handlebar.
Position the mirror so that the mounting assembly sits correctly against the handlebar end, then tighten the hardware gradually until the mirror is held securely.
4. Position the Square Mirror Head
The Classic series uses a distinctive square mirror head, so take a moment to align the mirror visually as well as functionally.
Sit on the motorcycle in your normal riding position and adjust the mirror until you have a clear rearward view. Check both the viewing angle and the orientation of the square mirror head before final tightening.
5. Perform a Final Check
After installation:
- Confirm that the mirror and mounting system are secure.
- Check that the mirror does not rotate or move excessively by hand.
- Turn the handlebars fully left and right and check for interference.
- Make sure the mirror does not contact the fuel tank, fairing, controls, or other components.
- Recheck the rearward viewing angle from your normal riding position.
