Announced on the eve of the biennial World Ducati Week festival in Misano, this latest iteration of the Panigale V4, now in its seventh generation, showcases a fresh design, a new double-sided swingarm, and an impressive 224.9 bhp when equipped with the race pipe.

The new Panigale V4 immediately catches the eye with its revised styling, blending modern aerodynamics with iconic Ducati design elements. The updated look, inspired by the legendary Ducati 916 and Ducati 1098 V-twins, not only reduces drag by 4% but also pays homage to the brand's rich heritage. This balance of form and function exemplifies Ducati's commitment to combining aesthetic appeal with performance enhancements.

One of the most significant changes in the new Panigale V4 is the transition from the single-sided swingarm, a hallmark of the model since its inception in 2018, to a shell-cast aluminum double-sided swingarm. This new design features large cutouts, revealing the 17-inch rear wheel and significantly reducing lateral stiffness by 37%. This reduction enhances traction and rider feel, particularly during acceleration out of corners. The overall rear assembly, including the new swingarm, is 3.8 kg lighter than its predecessor, contributing to a more agile and responsive ride.

Ducati has incorporated a newly designed single-rod shock linkage inspired by its MotoGP technology, maintaining the same progressiveness while reducing the shock absorber's length and weight. The engine features a counter-rotating crankshaft to reduce inertia and achieve peak power at 500 rpm higher than the previous model. With the optional Akrapovič exhaust system, the Panigale V4's power output reaches a staggering 224.9 bhp, while also shedding 6.6 kg from the bike's overall weight.

This power is complemented by a sophisticated electronic package, including traction control, wheelie control, slide control, and a quickshifter, all managed by a new six-axis IMU. The introduction of the 'Race eCBS' combined braking system, developed with Bosch, allows for more effective use of the rear brake during cornering, improving stability and control.

The Panigale V4S variant is equipped with electronic Öhlins suspension, including NPX-30 forks and a TTX 36 shock absorber, both featuring new hydraulic spool valves for enhanced adjustability. This setup is controlled via a 6.9-inch full-color TFT display, offering a range of settings between road and track modes. The bike's braking system includes new Brembo Hypure calipers and 330mm discs, reducing unsprung mass and improving handling.
